Potential Socio-Economic Impact of COVID-19 in Eswatini

Brief:

This document focusses on transmission channels of the COVID-19 crisis; short-term and medium-term impact on economic activities and the possible implications for household welfare in the context of already existing vulnerabilities. It also reviews containment and economic measures issued by the authorities in Eswatini in order to conclude with suggested interventions that UN Eswatini may consider sharing with the Government as part of broader mitigation plans.
